Kyle Sheahen is the 5th generation to lead the Sheahen family business, continuing a tradition of service that began in 1917. Today, as Owner and President of Mutual Rentals, Kyle’s mission is clear: to help people, build real partnerships, and ensure every customer gets more than just equipment—they get a team that truly cares.

Kyle learned that mission firsthand from his father, who ran the company before him and served as both his mentor and best friend. Outside the business, his father hosted Home Improvement USA, a popular radio show that offered advice to homeowners across the Chicago area. It wasn’t for publicity—it was about helping people. That same mindset drives Kyle every day.

If Kyle could spend his entire workday doing one thing, it would be working one-on-one with customers—solving problems, offering honest advice, and making sure they feel supported whether they rent from Mutual or not. His passion is in being a partner, not just a provider.

Under his leadership, Mutual Rentals has grown into a trusted source for boom lifts, scissor lifts, skid steers, and construction equipment rentals throughout the region. But more importantly, it’s become known for going above and beyond—delivering service that puts people first, every time.

Ryan Doyle leads the equipment rental division at Mutual Rentals in Chicago, bringing 20 years of experience and a strong customer-first approach. He started as a rental counter associate, moved up to Assistant Manager, and now oversees daily operations as Rental Manager.

Ryan specializes in delivering top-tier construction equipment rental service with a focus on fast turnaround times and unmatched customer support. He’s committed to raising the bar in an industry where service often gets overlooked—making sure every contractor, homeowner, or commercial customer gets exactly what they need, on time and hassle-free.

Mike Adams brings over Three decades of experience to Mutual Rentals in Chicago, where he serves as Assistant Manager and plays a key role in delivering top-tier equipment rental service to our customers. Mike began his career at Mutual Ace Hardware, where he held the role of Assistant Manager and also led our former cell phone division.

For the past 8 years, Mike has been an integral part of our rental division, specializing in assisting customers with their rental equipment needs, coordinating jobsite deliveries, managing fleet maintenance, and ensuring a smooth and responsive customer service experience. His deep knowledge and hands-on support make him a go-to resource for contractors and homeowners alike.

Dave Dorn is the Operations Manager at Mutual Rentals in Chicago, bringing more than 30 years of experience in the equipment rental industry to our growing team. Though he joined Mutual Rentals in 2025, Dave is no stranger to the business—his career has spanned multiple roles and regions, including time as an outside sales rep for major construction equipment rental companies across the country.

Dave’s expertise in rental operations, logistics, and fleet management plays a vital role in keeping our daily workflow smooth and efficient. His insight into both customer-facing and back-end processes helps us improve service, optimize delivery timelines, and maintain the reliability our customers count on.

Jack Anderson is a Key Account Representative at Mutual Rentals, serving contractors and commercial clients throughout the Chicagoland area. He joined our team in 2025, bringing years of experience as an outside sales rep for a national construction equipment rental company, along with other sales roles across the industry.

With a strong background in heavy equipment and jobsite logistics, Jack understands the demands contractors face—and he takes pride in making the rental process seamless. Whether it’s sourcing the right boom lift, scheduling a last-minute scissor lift delivery, or helping plan multi-phase projects, Jack treats every customer like family.

Chris Miller is the Lead Mechanic at Mutual Rentals in Chicago, bringing 15 years of hands-on experience keeping our fleet of construction and rental equipment in peak condition. From boom lifts and skid steers to mini excavators and trenchers, Chris makes sure every machine that leaves our yard is jobsite-ready and safe to operate.

Chris has spent his entire Mutual career in the shop, diagnosing issues, rebuilding components, and staying ahead of maintenance needs to reduce downtime and keep customers productive. His deep knowledge of equipment repair and service is matched by a no-nonsense approach that gets things done fast and right.
