Our Story
Mutual Ace Rental has proudly served the North Shore community since 1917. Our journey began as a coal delivery company (Mutual Coal), and over the years, we’ve grown and evolved to meet the needs of our customers. Originally located on Vine Avenue next to Highland Park High School, we have since expanded to three Ace Hardware locations in Highland Park, Buffalo Grove, and Palatine. In the early 1990s, we further broadened our services by adding Mutual Rentals to our Highland Park location, providing our customers with access to top-quality equipment for any project. Now, under the leadership of Kyle Sheahen, the 5th generation of the Sheahen family, MUTUAL ACE continues its tradition of being "the Helpful Place." Our family and staff are committed to offering knowledgeable advice, helpful service, and quality products.
